Suffolk County Police, Sheriff
and Parks Police candidates are required to take a fitness test as
part of the criteria for them to enter the SCPD.
Fitness By the Bay can help you prepare for this test. To pass the
fitness test you are required to perform and pass the following

We'll prepare you to
do all of these in the allotted time.
Do not underestimate this test. The sit-up portion utilizes a bent
knee sit-up board that can cause problems, even for the most fit
individual. Since it's a fixed position piece of equipment, if you
don't fit the board properly (mainly knee to ankle ratio where your
feet are supposed to be held under rollers), you'll end up using
more leg than ab, and the antiquated "fingers locked behind the
head" position forces you to pull on your lower back and neck.
You'll want to be prepared to pass without a doubt, so get started
if you know you're test may be coming up.
